The Role

The Head, Investor Relations will serve as the organization's principal liaison between LAFSINCO and the investment community, including institutional investors, development finance institutions (DFIs), sovereign wealth funds, commercial banks, private equity firms, multilateral agencies, and strategic investment partners.

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will develop and execute an integrated investor relations strategy that supports capital raising, enhances corporate reputation, communicates business performance transparently, and strengthens long-term investor confidence.

This executive role requires a commercially astute professional with exceptional financial storytelling capabilities, strong capital markets knowledge, outstanding stakeholder management skills, and extensive experience engaging investors across both public and private sectors.

The Head of Investor Relations will play a central role in supporting LAFSINCO's long-term growth by ensuring the company remains investment-ready while cultivating relationships that unlock sustainable financing for future expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Relations Strategy

Develop and execute LAFSINCO's Investor Relations strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
Position the organization as a leading infrastructure and agribusiness investment opportunity across Africa.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors.
Develop annual investor engagement plans and communication calendars.

Capital Raising Support

Support the CFO and Executive Leadership in raising debt, equity, blended finance, and concessionary funding.
Prepare investment teasers, pitch books, financial presentations, and investor information memoranda.
Coordinate investor due diligence activities and data room management.
Identify and cultivate relationships with domestic and international investors.

Investor Communications

Develop high-quality investor presentations, annual reports, quarterly business updates, and investment reports.
Translate financial and operational performance into compelling investment narratives.
Coordinate investor briefings, earnings presentations, roadshows, conferences, and stakeholder forums.
Ensure consistent messaging across all investor communications.

Stakeholder Management

Maintain productive relationships with government agencies, development partners, investment banks, DFIs, rating agencies, and financial advisors.
Respond promptly to investor inquiries and requests for information.
Coordinate Executive Management participation in investor meetings.
Build credibility and confidence among existing and prospective investors.

Financial Analysis & Market Intelligence

Monitor market trends, capital markets, macroeconomic developments, and infrastructure investment opportunities.
Benchmark LAFSINCO against comparable infrastructure, logistics, and agribusiness investment platforms.
Analyze investor feedback and provide strategic recommendations to Executive Management.
Monitor valuation drivers and emerging investment risks.

ESG & Impact Reporting

Coordinate sustainability, ESG, and impact reporting initiatives.
Develop reporting frameworks aligned with international investor expectations.
Communicate LAFSINCO's economic, environmental, and social impact effectively.
Support ESG ratings and impact investment assessments.

Corporate Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with applicable disclosure requirements and investor communication standards.
Coordinate investor communications with Finance, Legal, Corporate Affairs, and Executive Management.
Maintain confidentiality and integrity of market-sensitive information.
Support Board reporting on investor activities and capital market developments.

Leadership & Collaboration

Build a high-performing Investor Relations function.
Collaborate closely with Finance, Strategy, Legal, Commercial, Operations, and Communications teams.
Promote transparency, accountability, and investor confidence throughout the organization.
Serve as a trusted advisor to Executive Leadership on investor sentiment and market perception.

Qualification & Skills

· Minimum of 12–15 years progressive experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Financial Advisory, or Strategic Finance.

· Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.

· MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Strategy will be a strong advantage.

· Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

· Demonstrated experience engaging institutional investors and raising capital for infrastructure or large-scale investment projects.

· Strong understanding of debt markets, equity financing, PPP structures, blended finance, and project finance.

· Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills.

· Exceptional presentation, communication, and executive writing skills.

· Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial information into compelling investment stories.

· Strong stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.

· Experience working with government institutions, multilateral organizations, DFIs, or international investors is highly desirable.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, financial modelling tools, and data visualization software.
